The sculptor Paul Moreau-Vauthier was born in in Paris in 1871.  He was a pupil of his father Augustin Moreau-Vauthier and then studied under G. Thomas.  The young sculptor first aroused attention with his sculpture 'La Parisienne', which he exhibited in 1900 at the Exposition Universelle in Paris.  Paul Moreau-Vauthier also created numerous honor and war memorials.
